We can't understand the present if we don't understand the past.
This thread will show you the history of death and disease outbreaks in Sweden. Source data was all retrieved from Statistics Sweden. Here are monthly DPM since 1851:

@marghie@ryanobrien@clareblackwood I have to give it to you, you are a stubborn bunch. Sure, though, continue wearing your masks. Silver lining, it makes it easy to identify people I likely wouldn't get along with. Just don't then go and demand governments mandate them. Can we agree to that much?
@marghie@ryanobrien@clareblackwood They haven't made a dent either. You're trying to plug a hole in the Titanic with a grain of rice. Covid is literally everywhere despite it all. Unless you live like a hermit, you're going to get infected. Just accept it and live your life.
3 years of this already, jeez.
@RBReich Hahahahaha but it is freedom of speech! Nobody said it would be all sunshine and rainbows. It's just better than a small group of elites deciding what is and isn't acceptable for the masses to discuss.
@elonmusk Well, that's a deal breaker for me. The algos you use to determine this are extremely unreliable. I stopped using Twitter because all my replies were getting deboosted even though I'm rarely rude or curse.
Also, reducing reach is censorship - the effect is the same.
@marshalederman Marsha, I don't want to mask forever. Advocating for mandates is extremely disrespectful. Please stop. If you wish to wear a mask, there is currently nothing preventing you from doing so. Masking goes against my personality and moral compass. Please respect my choice.
@AlexBerenson Also, isn't Morgan Stanley financing this for him? He got major institutions on board, and they generally want assurances that they're not throwing their money into a fire pit. He might have obligations towards them based on Twitter performance metrics.
@AlexBerenson Well, it's not the only reason, but it does have something to do with it. Losing $1.5 billion a year isn't sustainable for a company. If you pay money for it, presumably you expect it will deliver some benefit and not just endlessly burn through more of your cash.
@Justyourav_2000 @thepoortaxpayer@JustinTrudeau Essentially, they are people who support a cause when it costs nothing and benefits them in social capital. Or they think their activism compensates for their own character flaws. They don't actually care.
@Justyourav_2000 @thepoortaxpayer@JustinTrudeau No, it's a term used for people who go to climate rallies in their SUVs. Who lecture others about staying home when they have 100k+ salaries, work from home and never missed a paycheck. Who lecture others about women's rights and turn out to be abusive to their wives.
@CarloDallapicc1@ianmSC How is it a win to slightly postpone the inevitable? Is there any proof of your theory? They're also doing fine post-infection. Even assuming that this postponed their infection by a few months, I don't see how restricting your airways forever is a reasonable response.
