With @Vol_Hoops headed to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth straight time, Rick Barnes now owns 30 total berths as a head coach.

Barnes ties Roy Williams for the third-most NCAA Tournament trips all-time. Mike Krzyzewski (36) and Jim Boeheim (35) are the only others at 30-plus.

.@Vol_Hoops’ Ja’Kobi Gillespie is the first SEC player ever with two eight-steal outings in league action. He did it in a four-game span.

Gillespie is also the only DI player in the last 15 years (2011-26) with 26 points, eight steals, seven assists and five rebounds in a game.

In last night's @Vol_Hoops win over Oklahoma, Ja'Kobi Gillespie became just the eighth player in the last 20 seasons (2006-26) with 16 points, eight assists & eight steals against a DI foe.

He's the only one to log that stat line versus a Power Five team in the past two decades.

Per @JaredBerson, Nate Ament's 29 points for @Vol_Hoops last night were the most by a freshman on the road at Kentucky in nearly 36 years, since Auburn's Ronnie Battle had 30 on 2/24/90.

Nate Ament went 12-of-15 at the line @Vol_Hoops' win over Auburn last night. He is the first Vol with that many FTM and/or FTA since Grant Williams on 1/23/19.

He is the second SEC freshman in the last five years (2021-26) with 15+ FTA in a game, joining Anthony Black on 1/7/23.
