I could not physically be any more excited by the news that my adult novels about bad witches, good lawyers, hot villains, and warring families are going to be published. Thank you @Stormbooks_co and @MarleneStringer as well as everyone who's ever read a draft #WritingCommmunity
@sluttysunlight From a strictly economic standpoint, this makes no sense?? Like. Even my money brain says, why? She’s not LOSING cash from this because she didn’t succeed in selling it to a publisher and if it does well it could mean your next book selling easier for her
Make it make sense…
A friend requested both my autograph AND De Vedras’s on her copy of PUTTING THE FACT IN FANTASY.
De Vedras made his opinion of this exercise very clear… I do not think his respect for me will ever be lower @DanKoboldt
Anyway - go buy PUTTING THE FACT IN FANTASY if you want to take your writing to the next level! (Or just like fun facts.)
I’ve got 3 articles on horses in there. You can make my loss of respect in my horse’s eyes worth it with a positive review 🤣

@MichaelMammay Honestly, if you can afford it, fastest and easiest is to Safe Harbor every year so at least there is no penalty concern and if you get an unexpected spike in income, set aside a percentage equal to your most recent effective tax rate in savings to anticipate the extra tax
@MichaelMammay Sort of an obvious one but RED RISING. First book was good but GOLDEN SON had an iron grip on me.
Also VENGEFUL by VE Schwab. Loved VICIOUS, but VENGEFUL is iconic
@Claribel_Ortega Just Break Up does have some occasional deep or difficult topics but is generally bonkers and hilarious! Lots of episodes and low stakes; a millennial Dear Abby type relationship podcast.
Reminder to all from your friendly neighborhood CPA that for 2021 cash contributions are up to 100% AGI deductible for those that itemize and up to $300 ($600 if married) deductible if you take the Standard Deduction like me.
If you need a charity recommendation, I’ve got lots!
It's probably too late this year, but if you run a 501c3, the week between Christmas and New Years is a good week to ask for donations.
I say as I look at getting in a few final donations for 2021 so they count on this year's taxes...
