Who am I?

I am Robert Murray, candidate for Virginia’s 4th Congressional District. Here is who I am, and why I'm asking for your vote.

Chesterfield Native: Raised in Chesterfield by local professors, I learned early on the value of hard work and community service.

Tech Entrepreneur: I launched a Richmond IT business right after high school and grew it across the Mid-Atlantic. Later, as IBM’s North American CIO Advisory Leader, I helped major organizations and local governments streamline operations and prevent fraud.

System Reform Advocate: After taking a civil rights battle to the U.S. Supreme Court, I have dedicated thousands of hours to reforming broken systems and advocating for equal rights.

By 2032, I will press Congress to bring 20% of our overseas military back home to keep families together, save lives, and better secure our nation. We will shift operating costs toward research, modernize our forces, and harden America's critical infrastructure. It is time to focus on defense at home and make wealth, not war.

I pledge to donate 100% of my post-tax Congressional income to Virginia-based charities that heal division or serve those most in need, including the homeless, foster children, disabled veterans, public safety workers, and abused or abandoned animals. I will continue doing so until individual taxes no longer pay for my salary, and I will show the receipts every step of the way. Together, we can strengthen our community while fighting to ensure you keep what you earn.

For those of you who don’t know me yet, this is just the beginning.

I am the Republican nominee for Virginia’s 4th Congressional District, and my eyes are fully and squarely on Washington (see photo). I know this will be a hard race, but I’m not discouraged. If I didn’t believe we had a real chance to win, I wouldn’t be running.

I’m not a party plant. I’m a retired technology partner who wants to help you get where you want to be. I’m not going to run this campaign the way campaigns are normally run. I’m going to run it for you.

I’m willing to meet with every constituent who wants to hear my vision, whether face-to-face or over the phone. Most importantly, I want to empower you to cultivate the values at the heart of my campaign:

I think it's extremely important that working families are given more freedom and control over their hard-earned money. I support the phasing out of individual federal income tax by 2032, allowing Virginians to keep 100% of their earnings to invest however they'd like.
