Ever wondered what it’s like to work the polls on Election Day? Here's what Kathy Gilliam had to say about her experience.
"I decided to volunteer because I wanted to show my students not just the importance of voting, but how the whole process works. One moment that really stuck with me was helping a first-time voter who was nervous and unsure. That moment reminded me why civic engagement matters so much.
It was a powerful experience—I learned a lot, met great people, and felt like I was truly making a difference. I’m definitely looking forward to working the 2026 election cycle."
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to serve your community, consider working the polls. You’ll be part of something bigger than yourself. 🗳️🇺🇸

Your Supervisor of Elections recently participated in a regional workshop hosted in Columbia County, bringing together election officials from neighboring counties.
During this collaborative event, we explored the rapidly evolving landscape of Internet Technology (IT) and its impact on election administration. These workshops are invaluable opportunities to exchange best practices, innovative ideas, and practical solutions that help us stay ahead in a digital-first world. By continuously learning and adapting, we strive to uphold the integrity of our elections and build trust within our community.

🗳️ Thinking about joining our team as a Poll Worker? Here's Why Janet loves working the polls for Levy County!
I’ve been helping out on Election Day for a while now, and I can honestly say—it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. The people I work with are awesome, the training is super helpful, and the whole experience is just fulfilling.
There’s something special about being part of the democratic process and knowing you played a role in making it happen. That feeling at the end of election day? Pure accomplishment.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, now’s the time! I plan to keep doing it as long as I can—and I’d love to see more friendly faces join the team. 💙
