Every @VoyagersNJ spends a minimum of 2 hours a day outside! In our weekly outdoor STEAM session, the students are inspired by challenge cards to build 6 different structures with 1 set of materials. Each week students receive a new @craftsman bucket of building materials.
Our #North2 classroom has gotten a makeover! Within the next month all of our Home base classrooms will be fully converted to learning pods to allow for social distancing and the safety of both students and faculty. We cannot wait to welcome our #VoyagersSkippers back to campus!
It turns out our on campus summer program is filling up faster than our virtual option! We are currently accepting ages 5-12 for the STEAM program and ages 1-5 for the @VoyagersPreK program. Check out the link below to reserve your STEAM spot today! @VoyagersNJ
Virtual Camp is off to a great start! We love seeing our Skippers include their siblings and friends into our community this week. For more information on the virtual and in-person summer program or to reserve your spot today, send a DM or e-mail [email protected]
Virtual Camp Kits are ready for pick up! We have a few extras for friends & family of our community. When you come to pick up your kit, grab an extra for a sibling, neighbor, or cousin! @VoyagersNJ students - there’s still time to reserve a free spot! 👩🏻🎨👩🏾🔬👨🏽🔧👨🏾💻
Spots are already filling up! @VoyagersNJ students - reserve your spot today!
Stay tuned for details on camp spots opening to students outside of our school soon!
We had a great time making structures out of paper yesterday! Our K-2 teacher, Larry, showed his class his #VoyagersCreativity by combining triangles and columns while I kept it simple with triangles. @VoyagersLower#VoyagersAtHome
Today’s Spring Break Club included an oldie but a goodie! Grab a small container of water, tinfoil (new or used) and “weights” (washers, marbles, paper clips). Build boats of different shapes and sizes, test which one holds the most weight! Ask them, “What do you notice/wonder?”
Today in our #VoyagersAtHome STEAM Spring Break Club we made designs using a cardboard box. While my design may seem simple, it was so much more than that. Spending time in a shared virtual space creating, collaborating on ideas, displaying failures, it was just what we needed.✨
If you're an educator who has access to one or more Ozobots at home, this webinar is for you! Emma Nuneviller joins us to discuss how you can engage your students w/ Ozobot during school closures, even if they don't have their own bots at home. Register at https://t.co/3d7qOZfzXN
@Ozobot@VoyagersToddler What’s next for me is the webinar today to watch our @VoyagersToddler teacher, Emma, talk about all the amazing things she’s been doing! And for Pino, when this is over he can get his hands on some ozobots in real life. 🤖
Pino, the youngest Skipper (11mo), watches intently as the @Ozobot completes the course his @VoyagersToddler class made together! As both the STEAM Lab teacher and his mother I can safely say he’s never focused in on a single thing for 2 mins straight before! 🤖 #VoyagersAtHome
One of my favorite things about this whole #VoyagersAtHome experience is when my students send me a message on @zoom_us and ask me if I am free to chat! I love the random surprise visits I get from them throughout the day. Brightens up an otherwise unfortunate experience.
A clip of a K-2 student sharing their design with classmates in a live STEAM class on Zoom! A special thanks to all of our parents that are serving as mentors, cheerleaders, and videographers during this #VoyagersAtHome time! Our community partnership is stronger now than ever.
