Cancer often whispers before it screams. Many times, the body sends subtle signals like unexplained weight loss, constant fatigue that rest doesn’t fix, persistent pain, lumps, changes in bowel/bladder habits, unusual bleeding, or skin changes that won’t heal. But the real tragedy is how silent it can stay until it’s advanced regular check-ups and listening to your body are our best weapons.
It’s heartbreaking how it claims lives like Alex’s. While there’s no universal cure yet because cancer is hundreds of different diseases, early detection + modern treatments surgery, targeted therapies, immunotherapy turn many cases into manageable or beatable ones. Science is advancing fast prevention through healthy living, avoiding toxins, and screenings save more lives than we realize.
RIP Alex Ekubo. May his passing remind us to value our health and support research. Let’s normalize talking about this openly. 💔🕊️
