Another Sanitary worker dies while trying to walk through a flooded street in Kannagi nagar settlement Chennai due to electrocution. This was due to an electric wire unattended. A Dalit ,her death is caused by administrative negligence.

Chennai sees at least one death of a sanitary worker , mostly Dalit women, every month due to such accidents.

I have been talking about the risky job they do and the lack of providing safety gears which causes so much harm to the workers.

I am deeply saddened and very angry that this keeps on happening.

A Dalit girl was rapēd and brutally murdered in Ayodhya, the so-called Ram Janmabhoomi, and the nation didn’t even flinch. Had she been from an upper caste, the streets would be flooded with protests. Even in death, caste decides whose life is worth mourning.
