@savisavichan You see - in the beginning I was sad to not see cute VTubers anymore.
Instead I got cute witches, also great.
Still wondering where I'll put my Mero figurine...
I don't talk about my role at Fantastic Reality a lot, but Emi and I (along with ETC and Rust) are co-owners and co-producers of Fantastic Reality.
This production is built on the backs of indie VTubers. It started with Emi and I just brainrotting about what our ideal VTuber concert would look like, and eventually grew into what it is today.
We've done countless all-nighters, taken time out of our own streaming and content creation to work on production, and invested our own money to make Fantastic Reality happen - because we are aiming for the bigger picture, to elevate the VTuber scene and create unforgettable concert experiences for everyone.
Emi's conviction is stronger than she lets on. She's the heart of the team and the glue keeping everything together when it's hard to see the big picture. I'm very lucky to have her as a friend, bandmate, and co-producer <3
I've seen lots of discourse about indie vtubing and concert production on the TL, I'd also like to put in my 2-cents.
I wanted to share a little bit of my experience as both someone without corpo backing and as a producer at Fantastic Reality & what everyone can do to grow opportunities for vtubers, Japanese music, and more.
Truth be told, production is a lot of work!! Everyone on the production team wears a lot of hats and puts in a lot of hours. There's so much work that goes into it that I'm not surprised that there's not more productions like this...
I haven't been as active as a vtuber as I like to be lately... but it's because I believe in creating something that is bigger than myself and making opportunities for vtubers to stand on stage and for fans to experience a concert they never thought they could experience! Is it a worthwhile sacrifice for me? .. I love concerts, vtubers & the fans so much... so I hope so!!
Someone asked me, "How can we get more events like this?"
If you want to see more, we have to prove that things like VTubers and Japanese music have appeal globally!! VTubing is so new in the grand scheme of things, so I'm working hard to prove to the industry that independent talents and vtubing is something people want to see & experience!
Hallo #artistsOfDoKomi ~
I'm currently working on updating & extending our merch overview, to list (at least) most VTuber merch at #DoKomi!
For that it'd would be pretty helpful, if you'd fill in your catalogues below, or at least leave a link to them~
🧵

Side note:

It was my first time choreographing for someone else and they both did so well 🫶
IM SO PROUD!! I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED IT!!
Thank you for the opportunity 🔥
That being said.
