The former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Al-Sheikh (Dr.) Abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari (Marafan Sokoto), attended the International Conference on Security, Community Diversity and Social Peace, themed “Partnership for a Better Future,” currently taking place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

The conference was organized by the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis-Sunnah (JIBWIS) Nigeria, under the leadership of its National Chairman, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Ahlus-Sunnah Organizations in Africa, Fadilatush-Sheikh Imam Dr. Abdullahi Balalau.

The conference is currently ongoing, bringing together participants to discuss issues relating to security, peaceful coexistence, community diversity, and the promotion of lasting peace.

We pray that Almighty Allah blesses this gathering and grants it goodness and success. May He reward all those who contributed to its organization with the best of rewards and grant lasting peace to our beloved country, Nigeria, and its people. Ameen.

Who brings the bacon home?

It is quite strange to see people who wrote thesis upon thesis to promote and defend Tradermoni, Farmermoni some 10 years ago when then Vice President Osinbajo was going round markets to distribute N10,000 and N20,000 micro-credit grants.

Same people are now up in arms against the First Lady. I understand the part that people change when their interests change, but politics of choice and interest should not knock out commonsense.

Mrs.Tinubu is extending support to those who need such support to get on with their lives. She never said those whose only ambition is to start work inside glittering C-Suite offices on the Wall Street and Broad Street should embrace making akara and moin moin.

The economy has different layers for people to participate, and economic actors operate at different levels. Every economy in the world has a place for those who operate at informal and nano levels. That is why we see people selling food inside the van at Times Square in New York and the the busy streets of London, Paris, Beijing, etc.

At the end of the day, every economy, at a personal level, comes down to who brings the bacon home? The bacon is what feeds the family, pays school fees, pays house rent, and other living expenses.

No economy caters to those who can rant the most on social media.
