#vssChristmas - a December 1-25th prompt.

[vssChristmas (#vssChristmas) @vsschristmas]

There is excitement in the air, Christmas Day is nearly here. Santa is getting busy loading his sleigh with Christmas magic.

The #prompt for Christmas Eve is #christmasmagic

The #clouds are parting
Summer is departing

The long summer nights
Are turning to cosy delights

The leaves are falling
And Christmas is calling

Who else is excited??? Is it just us??

@AnitaBacha @StarLiteStories So glad that you enjoyed it ☺️❄️🌟

[vssChristmas (#vssChristmas) @vsschristmas]

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in #vsschristmas this year. I hope you enjoyed it 🎄❄️

I @StarLiteStories have loved hosting it and reading all your Christmassy stories.

Wishing you a happy Christmas time and a wonderful 2026. May the words flow easily 🌟

She always jokes on Instagram about hating her family.

“I’m doing the Christmas challenge today,” she wrote this morning. “It’s where I just try to #survive Christmas… #Wish me luck, lol! See you on the other side.”

Don’t worry, she won’t… #vss365 #vsschristmas

Three things happened at once: a great bell rang out, the clamour especially startling considering they were on a snowy road in the middle of nowhere; Charlie slammed on the brakes, deafened; and a herd of #reindeer #jumped across the road—

Snowflake kisses
and golden wishes
warm thy bones.

Betwixt the magic,
her touch ecstatic.
Love quietly growing,
the humble showing.

Stars shoot through the night
Flash of light across the sky
A silent night falls
Sparkling frost on window panes

Too late silence storms the defiant
#candle_whispers of discreet uprisings
Who would lead Carol singers to a halt as a hazy object appeared in the sky
Starry eyed & bewildered
#Christmas_magic left Rudolph confused

Many people vulnerable,
Kindness, understanding,
We all need a sprinkle,
Dash of #christmasmagic

In the air is sadness,
People finding ways,
Touch of human goodness
Carry's everyday..

It’s only natural that these days we actually have a virtual Santa with eight tiny reindeer pulling a giant sleigh stuffed full of toys for every kid in the world… that is #christmasmagic at its best! #WeirdVSS² #vsschristmas² #1linewed #TalesNoir #vssmed

Replacing
Madness,
People kind,
#christmasmagic
Peaceful times,
Joy and sadness
Into one, sing
With gusto,
Sing them songs..

Christmas magic soothes,
glittering lights glowing.
Bells atop the rooftop,
hurry, hurry they never stop.

They fly so high
across midnight skies,
racing to deliver
everything inside.

With a merry farewell,
he waves goodnight
until another year goes by.

She did not know this room, nor the next: #stockings hung from the mantle, embroidered with unfamiliar names. Christmas tree in the corner, a few presents underneath. There were voices coming from the kitchen. When she passed a mirror, a stranger’s face stared back.

On Christmas Eve, she passes through town, wearing a white slip dress, barefoot in the snow. Crowned with candles, carrying a sprig of #holly, the only bit of color to her person. Those who catch a glimpse feel warmer, more hopeful in the wake of the year’s ending…
