On our street! During these 16 days of activism to end violence against women, the City of Adelaide partnered with artist Leah Leah Grant to paint five public park benches with three of them along Sturt St. The benches will feature the foundational symbol of butterflies.
For many women, harassment is a daily experience. Bullying, abusive and sexual comments make women and girls feel unsafe.
Create a safer environment for everyone online and offline by challenging peers to reflect on their own behaviour and speak up if someone crosses the line.
Know the issue and the signs
Violence against women takes many forms. It can be physical, sexual or emotional. It can be perpetrated by a stranger or intimate partner.
It has serious consequences for women and girls can prevent their full and equal participation in society.
