@AspalsLegal Mainstream media manipulates through the selection of events, the selection of individuals presumed to represent the public, the taking of events out of context, and the choice of words and images.Mainstream media is controlled by barely ten media conglomerates.
The largest funeral in Palestinian history took place today.
308 martyrs and missing persons from a single residential square in the Al-Sabra neighborhood; families whose names were wiped from the registry, and bodies that vanished under the rubble.
ZERO CONTACT, ZERO AGREEMENT: TEHRAN UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR DESTROYS TRUMP'S NARRATIVE
Professor Mohammad Marandi of Tehran University just delivered a clear, unfiltered assessment that shreds the latest wave of American claims. No phone calls. No begging. No secret talks. And absolute Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz remains non-negotiable.
THE FAKE NEWS MACHINE
➡️ Trump repeatedly claims Middle Eastern leaders and even Iran are calling him, pleading not to attack.
➡️ Marandi states flatly there has been zero communication between Iran and the United States.
➡️ This is not the first time. Trump has made the same false claim so often it has become boring.
➡️ His own supporters keep following anyway, but the facts on the ground never change.
HORMUZ REMAINS UNDER FULL IRANIAN CONTROL
➡️ Negotiations with Oman exist only about managing the strait.
➡️ Iran has made its position crystal clear: full supervision over every ship that wants to pass.
➡️ There will be no two corridors. Oman cannot operate any route without Iranian knowledge.
➡️ Every vessel must receive Iranian consent and will pay a fee.
➡️ The entire strait from beginning to end stays fully monitored and controlled by Iran.
NO AGREEMENT ON THE TABLE
➡️ Iran will not accept the old nuclear deal in its previous form.
➡️ Demands now include the end of the siege on Yemen, resolution on Gaza, and the release of Iran’s frozen assets.
➡️ Iran will not concede any authority over the Strait of Hormuz under any arrangement with Oman or anyone else.
➡️ There is no ceasefire. Iran continues to strike threats wherever they appear.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Trump can issue threats every few days and invent stories of desperate phone calls. The reality delivered by Professor Marandi is simpler and far more powerful: Iran never begged, never negotiated under pressure, and will never surrender control of Hormuz.
This is the sound of a narrative collapsing in real time.

There's no reason to believe that the deal under negotiation will end Trump's criminal war of aggression on Iran.
All indications are that these negotiations concern one issue: control of the Strait of Hormuz.
There are many other intractable issues between the US and Iran that need to be resolved for there to be peace, including:
- Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip
- US sanctions
- Iran's stolen assets
- US threats and attacks on Iran
- Iran's nuclear program
If the negotiations between Iran and Oman are successfully concluded, that will NOT amount to a 'peace deal' between Iran and the United States.
Such a deal (if it can ever be achieved while Trump is the President) is a long way away. This war is far from over and commentators like @MarioNawfal should stop lending credence to the absurd notion that a 'peace deal' between the US and Iran is imminent.
Högerextrema gruppers avgörande roll under Majdan-revolutionen 2014

The US is starving and killing babies in Cuba, and the media is staying silent about it.
The US is starving Cuba like Israel is starving Gaza.
This violates Article 33 of Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment—this’s illegal and a crime against humanity
Andrius Kubilius says Ukraine's deep strikes into Russian territory, which have targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure, are a real achievement because they've finally made ordinary Russians feel the war is a tragedy for their own country.
Terrorist mindset. How psychopathic do you have to be to say that it's okay to target civilians because it helps you win? This is no different from Osama bin Laden's doctrine of asymmetrical warfare against the West.
Worth noting he's the EU's Defense Commissioner, so this isn't a fringe take, it's coming from Brussels.

🇨🇳 China Passed a Law Protecting Minority Languages: Western Media Calls It Erasure
ABC calls the law the latest attempt at cultural extinction for Mongols, Tibetans, Uyghurs and others. The framing is familiar. Take a cohesion policy, strip out the protective clauses, amplify exile activists and call it genocide.
Read the actual law.
It requires the state to respect and protect the learning and use of minority languages. It supports their standardisation, digitalisation and the preservation of ancient texts, and it encourages different ethnic groups to learn one another’s languages. At the same time it makes Putonghua (Mandarin) the basic language of instruction and official work, a shared language for national cohesion, with minority languages still protected by law.
This matches the Constitution.
Article 4 has always stated that all ethnic groups have the freedom to use and develop their own spoken and written languages and to preserve or reform their customs. The new law restates the same protection, it does not cancel it.
Chinese sources put the number of distinct minority languages at more than 80. Fifty-three of the 55 official minority groups have their own spoken languages. The 2020 Inner Mongolia education change is routinely misrepresented: three subjects shifted to Mandarin medium, but Mongolian language classes and the rest of the curriculum continued, and the official position was that the bilingual system remained. The article turns a partial shift into total erasure.
A national language is not cultural destruction. It is the practical tool that lets a Uyghur trader, a Mongol graduate or a Tibetan professional operate across the whole country. Without it people stay locked in smaller economic circles. Better Mandarin proficiency consistently raises incomes and job chances for minority workers, and that is opportunity, not erasure.
Nomad resettlement is framed as pure cultural destruction. It was also ecological protection of overgrazed grasslands and a move that gave people access to schools, healthcare and markets. Development changes lifestyles, that is not the same as deliberate extinction.
I have lived here long enough and been to Xinjiang. Uyghur is spoken in markets, shops and homes. Mongolian and the other languages are still used daily. Festivals continue and minority language media still runs. The Western story of total elimination collapses the moment you visit these places.
The self-immolation in New York was real. A 52-year-old Tibetan exile set himself on fire outside the UN. One person’s act outside China does not prove the policy intent inside China.
Bethany Allen of ASPI told ABC it is “such a shame” that China is heading in this direction while other countries work hard to preserve minority languages.
Just look at the record of those countries:
- Australia forced Aboriginal children into English-only missions and banned their languages for generations
- The United States ran boarding schools that punished Native American children for speaking their own languages
- Canada’s residential school system did the same and Ottawa’s own Truth and Reconciliation Commission called it “cultural genocide”
- Japan suppressed Ainu and Ryukyuan languages in the name of national unity.
Those were deliberate state policies of linguistic erasure and this is not the case in China.
China maintains constitutional protection and a national language for practical cohesion in a vast multi-ethnic country. Western commentators demand China do what their own countries spent decades refusing to do.
The ABC piece relies almost entirely on Amnesty, exile activist groups and ASPI commentary. It gives almost no weight to the actual wording of the Chinese law or the constitutional protections still in force. Selective sourcing produces a very different picture from the documents and from daily life here.
When Western media treats the promotion of a national language as cultural genocide, what exactly is left of the word genocide?
@ABCaustralia when will you hire real journalists to address factual news?

Gaza’s health ministry says July was the deadliest month of 2026, with 152 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes. Overnight attacks killed at least eight people.
Al Jazeera’s @Hind_Gaza reports from Gaza City, with Dr James Smith joining from al-Mawasi.
Professor Marandi (Tehran):
- Piers, allow me to offer some advice. I'm not going to debate who is right or wrong – Russia or Ukraine – right now. That's not the point. I simply want to say that your media outlets have been misleading the public for two years, constantly claiming that Ukraine is winning. And then suddenly, it turns out that it is on the verge of collapse. Imposing false narratives ultimately becomes a disaster for yourselves – for the people of England, Europe, and America. Your endless wars, which are based on these false narratives and disinformation, create massive waves of refugees that are overwhelming your own countries. And all of this is happening because of your own actions.
