@RandomOfNowhere Find your state or local club and take a lot of classes before you get bees. Order Betterbee, Dadant etc catalogues and read them. Read Beekeeping for Dummies. Put a bear fence up.

HONEY BEES survive winter by evicting all drones♂️, storing food & form a cluster that moves slowly over the food. The QUEEN is at the centre of the cluster where it is always 97F. Ventilation is critical to rid the hive of deadly moisture. #savethebees RT.

@Woman4W I lived with my grandmother as an adult attending college nearby. She was tired of thinking of what to cook, I loved to cook. I’d give her a grocery list and she was delighted at all the new things I made for her. My dog was good company for her. I treasure that time together.

I’m at the @nationalhoneyshow for a few days and I love walking around seeing all the entries - I appreciate all the hours of preparation that go into preparing samples for showing - don’t they look amazing?
