The people of Normandy lined the streets to honor and celebrate the heroes of D-Day, 82 years later.
These men helped save the world from tyranny — and it’s incredible to see the French people continue to honor their courage and sacrifice.
“If you think the world is selfish and rotten, go to the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer overlooking Omaha Beach. See what one group of men did for another on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.” — Andy Rooney
Bill Maher SLAPS AROUND the artist that PULLED out of the Freedom 250 Concert: “They all pulled out. This is a question of what looks best for the Democrats because I don’t think that looks good. It looks like you are just what people say about you: you don’t really love America. It looks like you think that Trump is more important than the country itself.”
“Now it’s just a big MAGA rally… because they all pulled out.”
“Wouldn’t it have been better to play this gig?… Just celebrating America. Can’t we all just celebrate America itself and leave Trump out of it?”
Governor Sanders: “My dad taught me an important lesson, God does not make mistakes, and he makes each one of us unique with our own purpose. So we should never try to be anyone or anything other than who God created us to be.”

Rob Gronkowski says he lived off $50,000 as an NFL rookie because he understood the NFL meant "Not For Long"
"My agent gave me a $50,000 advance for what's going to come in the marketing world for myself. I just had to pay him back within the first $50,000 I made"
"I was able to purchase my first car, which was a 2008 Escalade, and then to be able to pay rent once I got to New England. And then from there on out, I really didn't need any other money"
"I was getting free meals at the facility. I just kind of needed gas money. You go out, the drinks are free or you pay for one, you get 10 free when you're when you're on the Patriots up in the Boston area"
"So I wasn't really spending much money at all, especially when it got to the season. I mean, you're inside that building and everything's handed to you on a daily basis from breakfast all the way to dinner"
"I just lived off my marketing dollars. I was living a low-level life. I had a condo with a roommate that was on the team as well. We're paying $1,500 a month in rent while in the NFL"
"I was very frugal and that's how I got away with it. Not having any lavish purchases, the first couple years in the league and just banking away what I was making because I truly understood that the NFL stands for not for long"
The world promises satisfaction through success, status, money, pleasure, relationships, and recognition. Yet no matter how much we gain, the hunger always returns.
Jesus offers something entirely different. He doesn't just improve your life, He satisfies the deepest need of your soul. The approval of people fades. Achievements lose their shine. Pleasure is temporary. But Christ provides lasting peace, purpose, forgiveness, and joy that circumstances can't take away.
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." John 7:37
Practical ways to live this out every day:
• Start your morning in prayer before checking your phone.
• Read Scripture daily, even if it's just one chapter.
• Thank God for what you have instead of chasing what you don't.
• Fast occasionally from social media or entertainment to refocus your heart.
• Serve others without expecting recognition.
• Measure success by faithfulness to God, not applause from people.
• Ask yourself often: "Am I seeking Christ, or just comfort?"
The soul was never designed to be filled by temporary things. It was created for Jesus.

When firefighters found a dog left at their station with a note pleading, “Please help my baby,” they set out to find the owner. What happened next proved that sometimes the hardest act of love can lead to the happiest ending. @SteveHartmanCBS is On the Road in Texas.
