The war just escalated into a straight exchange of tankers, hit mine, I hit yours, in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's position is now blunt.

Its parliament speaker @mb_ghalibaf put it in one line. The equation of this war is "either all or no one". In a region where Iran cannot sell its oil, no one else will sell theirs either.

It sounds like bravado. The market math says it is a winning hand.

You have to understand who owns the tankers on each side, because that is the whole game.

1. Iran's oil moves on a shadow fleet of state linked vessels, sold mostly to Chinese buyers outside the Western system.

2. If those tankers are sunk or seized, the loss falls on the Iranian state and its off the books network, actors already cut off from global finance, already sanctioned, already operating in the dark. They have little left to lose at sea.

Now the other side.

3. The tankers moving Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Iraqi and Qatari oil belong to multinational shipping firms, publicly listed companies, insured by Western underwriters and answerable to shareholders.

4. When one of those is hit, the damage does NOT stay in the Gulf. It detonates on stock exchanges, in insurance markets, in freight rates, in the share price of EVERY listed carrier and energy major. One burning tanker becomes a global financial event moving the algorithmic trading machines into the negative and creates a spiral.

5. That asymmetry is the trap. Iran can absorb tanker losses because its fleet is state owned and already outside the system. The West cannot, because its fleet is corporate, listed and insured and backed by lobby groups and media influence.

6. Every exchange of tankers hurts the side with public shareholders far more than the side with state secrets.

So essentially, Iran is playing with chips it has already written off. America is playing with chips the whole global economy is holding.

And the price does what prices do under this pressure. It climbs.

Oil has already surged sharply since the war began, and a tanker for tanker fight in the world's most important oil corridor pushes it higher with every hit.

Insurers are already pulling back. Refiners are already refusing blacklisted ships. The shock is not a forecast. It has started.

So look at what Trump has actually done. Every escalation hands Iran exactly the war it wants to fight, one where its greatest weakness, a sanctioned economy with a shadow fleet, becomes its greatest shield, and where America's strength, a vast open market economy, becomes the exposed nerve. Iran is not just surviving this. It is leading global opinion, absorbing blows it can afford, and forcing a price shock the West will feel in every gas station and every portfolio. This was not a strong move. It was a gift to the IRGC.

أمريكا دلوقتي بتعمل غلطة كبيرة

بتكرر نفس أخطاءها في باب المندب

أشعلت معركة في باب المندب ضد #اليمن لأن حكومة صنعاء منعت سفن إسرائيل

النتيجة: عسكرة البحر الأحمر وغلق باب المندب كليا، وبدل ما كانت سفن إسرائيل فقط هي اللي ممنوعة، سفن العالم كله بقت ممنوعة، وارتفعت أسعار النفط في السما ووصلت 120 دولار للبرميل..

وفي الأخير انسحبت باتفاق مع اليمنيين وسابت سفن إسرائيل ممنوعة حتى توقيع وقف إطلاق النار في #غزة.

دلوقتي بتشعل معركة في مضيق هرمز بنفس الوسيلة والأسلوب، لكن المرة دي الخصم أقوى بكتير وو��ائل السيطرة على المضيق أكتر ..

كانت السفن بتعدي من المضيق بدون رسوم أو تهديد، لما اعتدوا على إيران أصبحت السفن تعبر فقط بالرسوم..

دلوقتي بقت بتضرب في السفن بنفس المنطقة وشعارها السفن بتاعنا هتعدي وإلا محدش هيعدي (منطق البلطجي 😀)

النتيجة برضه عسكرة مضيق هرمز وغلقه بشكل شبه كلي، حتى اللي عاوز يدفع رسوم مش عارف يعدي.. واللي بيخالف أوامر إيران أو أمريكا بينضرب.. وحدثت فوضى كبيرة في أهم مجرى مائي بالعالم..

هنشوف النتيجة اللي على الأرجح مش هتختلف كتير عن نتائج معركة باب المندب.
