It feels like with each passing year, the struggle never ends. Perhaps it was ever thus. My ongoing project continues for 2024, documenting some notable war films from around the world to seek understanding & clarity. I hope you find the same in the coming years. Godspeed
It's a little late this year, but the 2024 War Film Retrospective is here! @VyceVictus dives into a representative sampling of the war films of the last year. Mike's along for the ride while @LiamODin@ODSTSpartan take a breather

A Day in the Life of Jo: Chapter Phaedra is one of my very favorite films of this festival season. I met up with its director, Jacqueline Lentzou, for coffee the other day and had a winding discussion all about it. It's great, give it a read.

For @Neon_Splatter and your festive consideration, I wrote about 1990's BRAIN DEAD, a psychological thriller that is not just the only intersection of Bills Paxton and Pullman, but a hauntingly prescient eulogy for and by Twilight Zone legend Charles Beaumont. Read on below.
Aside from Kristen Stewart, he's the actor I've been wanting to interview. Finally happened. Short but sweet, excited for you to read it. He's the nicest guy on earth.
Watched a surprise screening of M. Night Shyamalan’s REMAIN at @BeyondFest. A really enjoyable, consistently funny ghost story. There’s, of course, no subtlety, but that’s part of the package with the peculiar blend of Shyamalan & Nicholas Sparks. Jake Gyllenhaal is wonderful.
(When i say "training", I saw this young brother iamafrozulu on instagram. He's a Shuaijiao champ and I liked some of his routines, simple & effective. Seems like a humble dude with some wisdom. One thing I know, no matter how old you are you can learn something from anybody.)
