As a trader your focus should never be making money. That’s the byproduct, not the focus. 🗣️🗣️🗣️ The focus should be bettering yourself each and every day. On and off the charts. I’ve talked about this before, but having your life in order is a prerequisite to success in trading. You cannot be undisciplined off the charts and expect to be disciplined on the charts. It doesn’t work like that. You need to do what you say you’re going to do. You need to put in the time. Put in the work. You need to become disciplined. You need to become a monster, then you need to learn to control it. That is how you master yourself. That is how you master your emotions. The journey to finding yourself is a lonely one. Nobody can do it for you. Nobody can accompany you. You need to do it for yourself. Otherwise it’s fugazi. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. The only way to know freedom is to know yourself. Otherwise you’ll always be a slave to your mind. The human mind is incredibly powerful. It has unlimited potential. We must learn to control our minds, otherwise we will always be a slave to it. Eventually everyone comes to that boiling point in their lives. For some it’s at 13 years old, for some it’s at 40. But it comes for everyone. There’s going to be a time where you will be tested. That much is certain. The question is, how prepared will you be? How ready are you? People think trading is just about understanding the technical science. There’s so much more. Anyone can learn to read a chart. Not everyone can be a successful trader. It takes a savage. It takes someone who has forged the mentality of a warrior. Someone who understands there is power in killing the ego. Someone who understands they are not the smartest person in the room, and knows that if they are they need to find a different room. Someone who is willing to block out the counterfeit bullshit that society feeds you. Someone who is willing to bet on themselves. Someone who is willing to put risk on the table. Someone who is at peace with the outcome, regardless of what happens, because they know they put themselves in the best position to succeed. Someone who is confident not because they are faking it, but because they know they’ve done the work. We all have what it takes. We just don’t all tap into it. Why? Because we don’t all know ourselves. If you spend the time to get to know yourself, you will already be way ahead of the game. If you’re still here, congratulations.
