Years ago, new gaskets had to be made. A ball peen hammer in the hands of a seasoned mechanic can tap out a new gasket in no time flat.

Additionally, i carry a 2 ounce ball peen hammer (and a grease pencil) for finding “blisters” in fiberglass.
