Guess who the Minister actually found on duty during that impromptu visit?
The interns!
The same ones the MOH is planning to stop paying completely.
Let that sink in. They are the ones showing up for patients every day, yet they still want to treat the mm like they don’t matter. This just doesn’t make sense.
Pay all interns now, they deserve better!
1. Acknowledge the gaps.
2. Suspend the "policy".
3. Deploy all medical interns.
4. Pay all medical interns.
5. Respond to the formal requests of stakeholders for dialogue.

Government went looking for negligence and found neglected workers instead. The midnight inspection did not reveal a new problem. It inadvertently validated what medical interns had been saying for months: they remain indispensable to frontline healthcare despite continuing concerns over their facilitation.
Guess who the minister found on duty at 1am?
Medical Interns. The very people @GovUganda, @MinofHealthUG et al don't want to support with an allowance.
Oh Uganda may God uphold thee!
We extend our appreciation to @JoelSsenyonyi for continuously standing with us and the general population. Thousands of students and pre interns are asking for feedback from the review process.@CHRISBARYOMUNS1@OPMUganda@jessica_alupo
Our 1,2,3:
1. Deploy all Current Preinterns
2. Pay them 4M
3. Pay them monthly alongside other health workers
@TheUMAofficial, @PharmacistsUg , @FUMI20232024, @agnmu_Ug, @OfficialFUMSA
is asking,
"IS THAT ASKING FOR TOO MUCH?"

#PayAllInterns@MinofHealthUG should pay all medical interns. Scrapping of their allowances is just causing more harm to an already broken health care system.
