They raised many $100Ms in 2017-2018. It's important to show what was done with this money, hence Marketcap and trading volume. If someone has more information, please share.

ROI is an interesting metric, but much more interesting is the value created (Marketcap) vs the amount raised. Two values are given, Marketcap / raised and Marketcap - raised. Calculating ROI is very tricky. Tokens were sold at multiple prices.
