We all know that saving money for retirement is crucial.
Why don’t we put as much thought into investing in our physical function as we age?

Parents, let your kids see you prioritize your fitness and health.
Make time to exercise, work fun movement into your day, meal prep, take care of your mental health.
It’s a great way to help them build healthy habits for life.

If static stretching feels good, go for it. But our patients have had a lot of success with mobilizations like the one shown in this video.
Active mobilizations mean you are more in control of the movement and therefore more likely to see better results.

Most runners would be better off with less mileage (potentially MUCH less) in their training programs.
Focused, intentional miles will serve you better than garbage volume just to get the work in.

Low level have their place but if you want to truly deal with back pain you need to challenge yourself more.

Yep, just walk backward.

Hot take:
Youth athletes are getting hurt and burnt out because they are over scheduled.
13 year olds don’t need to practice and compete 20 hours a week.
Thoughts?

With hip tightness, stretching is a great place to start, but doesn’t always do the trick.
Sometimes this is because the root cause of the feeling of tightness is weakness in the hip flexors. Try some strengthening along with stretching.
