سازمان بین المللی مهاجرت پس از ده سال نه راهکاری برای حل این معضل یافته و نه دردی از آنها دوا کرده و ادامه این حالت پس از ده سال آشکارا نشان می‌دهد که UNHCR به وظیفه خودش عمل نکرده است. بخصوص پس از آنکه طالبان دوباره به قدرت بازگشته و وضعیت زندگی در افغانستان وخیم تر از هرزمان دیگری شده است ایجاب می کند که نهاد های مسول بین المللی به وظیفه شان عمل کنند.

Some asylum seekers in Indonesia say they’ve been waiting up to 13 years for their asylum applications to be processed. Others have been waiting for ten years or less. During this time, their children have been denied access to education, and they themselves have not had the right to work or live freely.

Over the past three years, they have consistently campaigned for an end to this prolonged situation. According to reports, at least 20 people have taken their own lives out of hopelessness.

Today, once again, asylum seekers are launching a new campaign, hoping their voices will finally be heard.

Under international humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention, they have the right to seek asylum and to live in peace. The #UNHCR is expected to address their plight.
