I agree that people with anti-humanity agendas have hijacked it. My point is that many people who don't realize that sustainability often means saving money are arguing against it. Most people with a problem with it likely didn't listen to the podcasts and aren't familiar with industry practices. Most of All, the church is looking to cut FM-related costs in buildings.
@notababylonian@D12Dale@the_churchnews No it’s not. It was never his money to begin with. A fundamental miss understanding of tithing. The 10% always belonged to God. It would be stealing for him to keep it.
@Crashby89@_sky_sorensen_ It depends on whether you believe in God. Even then, if you don't, your morality is objectively set by Christian revelation that is thousands of years old. You never would've known that stealing is wrong without the commandments.
Yoda shows everything wrong with the Jedi Order. He stuck to outdated rules, forced Jedi to suppress emotions, and ignored changes around him. He was too loyal to the corrupt Republic and made the Jedi generals in a war, which went against their values. He missed the signs of the Sith and, instead of fixing the Order after it fell, just ran away. His strict ways pushed people like Anakin to feel alone and fall apart.
FYI, from someone who also grew up in southern California, you're cherry-picking images to
Make your argument seem better. You know the hills and lands around developed communities such as the Palisades are graded. LAFD and Cal Fire are responsible for creating fire breaks. It is 100% possible to effectively manage the immediate space between houses and shrubbery.
The CA SRA building code requires a 100-foot defensible space between houses and hills, which I guarantee LAFD was not enforcing on HOAs: Malibu and the Palisades border SRAs.
