We were getting a full on air attack from the Tirricks (Artic Terns) as we where walking yesterday! They are so aggressive and force me to constantly wear a hat when they attack🤣. I

Jet n I made our way around the south of Burra! I was blown away by how absolutely beautiful this island is!!! The weather was amazing and now the sea has had a chance to settle the colours where spectacular! It was by far the nicest days walking I've had since last summer!

Jet n I made our way back to Burra to do admin shower n resupply! Because things have relaxed slightly up in Scotland I decided to get stuck in to Burra what would have been our next island! On the coast I won't see anyone so no harm in starting to walk it! It did not disappoint!

I hope you are all safe and well, jet n I sat up waiting to see the sunset in absolute disbelief at the noise of the island last night! Because of the time of year n the fact we are situated on a small island with two fresh water lochs we May as well be on one giant birds nest!

How epic is this! Wikipedia have updated n now mention 2 inhabitants, a man n his dog on Hildisay 😁 has to be a keeper! One day when I settle that will be in the wall in the memory room👍
Jet n I are both keeping well n doing absolutely anything to keep busy!

So I had a call from Victor saying saying the weather was giving way for a few hours and being a fisherman and an all around epic guy he made a run for it with supplies!!!

He made it 😁😁

Strong westerly wind today n nippy in the house so jet n I stayed warm under covers when we woke at 8am.
I've run out of meat so have veg rice n tuna until resup! I've decided to do a bit of foraging. Always wanted a dandinettle rabbit soup😁. I love rabbits but needs must

After a rubbish morning of weather the clouds dispersed leaving only the wind! Jet n I where out the door in seconds, I know the island's little coves that will protect us from any wind direction! Turns out like a summers day tucked in to a cove facing North from Southern winds!

With chopping wood n dragging fresh water from the pier we had a full day of it. Last night I made a fire to make the most of being able to sit outside before the winds arrived, it was perfect, jet n I both fell asleep, woke when the fire died n we were freezing 😂.

Jet and I made the most of a decent day of weather stocking up with wood and coal for when the weather turns, it will be a week before another supply drop with the winds picking up soon and today was a banging day to get stuff done👌

Last night jet n I arrived back on Hildisay, my clothes washed, battery packs charged n I'm showered! A new man!
A massive omlette n coffee will set me up nicely for a day of dragging supplies, coal n water up n down Hildisay to the house😁

Today Victor is coming over at 1200, I'm completely out of stores, battery power n water!, I've taken this opportunity n asked Victor If I could take a ride over on the boat to Burra another island off the west coast to my clothes etc in hot water!

Yesterday jet n I spent the day out on the island, I took the time to take a more detailed walk of the island, I looked for good foraging spots n even bumped in to some Gull eggs! Considered a delicacy on the islands! Yum 😁

An amazing day of weather! For half hr it would be sunny, warm enough to sit outside n enjoy The next half hr would be snow blizzards n cold! In my entire journey I've never had a day that 1 min I was putting on all my warm kit, the next I was top off putting on sun tan lotion!👌

Me n jet made the most of it! We spent the entire day circling the island! Looking for anything interesting that may have washed up that I could use!, I decided to throw in a day of long walking here n there as not to struggle when I start again!
