Walsden Wildcats kicked off their new season last weekend at the Accrington CC Girls' Festival of Cricket.

The girls played some fantastic cricket throughout the day, winning two of their three matches and showing great determination and teamwork. 👏🏼

The 2nd XI won their second successive game on the bounce thanks to 3 wickets each for Halstead, Steven & Lord followed by 47* for Ben Coles.

A disappointing weekend for Walsden 1st XI as they lost Friday, Saturday & by just 5 runs on Sunday.

The only highlight being Nick Barker passing 50 on Sunday.

Despite the losses our 1st XI stay top of the league by 17pts.
