President @KagutaMuseveni says a Ugandan returnee from abroad was trying to buy a flat in the Kampala area & they were demanding USD 1.2 million. As she was trying to
mobilize the money, the resident Ugandans had bought all the flats.
Before we dismiss that as propaganda, ask yourself:
What are the wealthy Ugandans doing today that the rest of us are not?
That question may be more important than any political debate.
Just reminding you what the @KagutaMuseveni said in State of the Nation Address "All the non-performers must leave leadership. Leadership is not for ego but for the People and the Country."
The right to apply for bail must be effective and practical. A bail application that is filed but left unattended for an unreasonable period defeats the constitutional presumption of innocence and the right to a fair and speedy hearing.
The Court should therefore ensure that a bail application is heard expeditiously lest the right to apply for bail becomes illusory

While failures in the justice system may explain why some people resort to mob justice, they can never justify it. No matter how frustrated citizens become with corruption and delayed justice, taking the law into one's own hands should never be the answer. The solution is to demand a better justice systemโnot to replace it with violence.
