What an experience competing at the @USPSA_Shooting Factory Gun National Championships in St. George, Utah.
The setting, range and stages were spectacular. Just 18 months into competing, my first Nationals consisted of 3 days and 18 stages that tested me technically, mentally physically and strategically in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Every match does that to some degree, but this was on another level.
I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and excited to get back home, see my family and continue training and learning.
A huge thank you to @WaltherFirearms , Outdoor Dynamics @cpistemcellglxa , postural pathways, Point Blank Range, and my family for their incredible support and help in making this possible.
I finished lower than I had hoped at 71.38%, placing 27th out of 113 A-Class Carry Optics competitors. Disappointing, yes — but more than anything, it strengthens my resolve and gives me a clearer picture of where I need to improve.
I had an awesome squad, reconnected with some familiar faces and met a lot of great people along the way. My Massachusetts buddy DJ Gomes and his family were absolutely amazing. They made me feel like part of the family while I was here and worked just as hard, if not harder, helping us throughout the week.
Here are a couple vids and some photos from the week. 🫶
Two hundred fifty years ago, a nation was founded on the principles of freedom, independence, and self-determination.
To commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, Carl Walther created something truly extraordinary: a one-of-one engraved pistol honoring the history, values, and spirit of the United States.
Every detail was executed entirely by hand by master engraver Richard Maier of Trompeter & Ritchi. At the center is the signing of America’s founding document, surrounded by a soaring bald eagle whose wings span the entire pistol as a symbol of strength, unity, and the enduring promise of liberty.
From the microscopic lettering to the thousands of engraved lines that bring each feather to life, this piece represents countless hours of craftsmanship and an unwavering pursuit of perfection.
Today, we celebrate 250 years of American independence and the freedoms that continue to define this nation.
Happy Independence Day from all of us at Walther.
