The State has been given more time to file its response to Jozef Puska’s extensive appeal against his conviction for murdering schoolteacher Aishling Murphy, after a court was told the killer’s legal team were over a month late filing their paperwork.
Puska, who told detectives that he stopped working in 2017 after slipping a disk in his back, has been granted legal aid for his appeal on the same basis as his representation during his trial at the Central Criminal Court - where he was allocated a solicitor, a senior counsel and two junior counsel.

On the 27th of June 2024, the Irish Government advised the EU that they intended to opt Ireland into 7 legislative Acts to transpose the EU Migration and Asylum Pact into Irish law. This was a choice made by the Irish Government, against the will of the Irish people.
The 7 legislative Acts are currently being rail roaded through the Dail and Seanad, under a Bill called the International Protection Bill 2026.
Ireland now has until the 12th of June 2026 to pass this Bill into law.
One of the 7 legislative Acts called the Asylum and Migration Management Regulation, will introduce a "permanent, mandatory, and needs-based solidarity mechanism, replacing current ad-hoc voluntary solutions."
In short this means that the EU will dictate the number of economic migrants each Member State must admit in any given year, or face a financial penalty of €20,000 per person refused.
The detail coming directly out of the EU is as follows, also see the link below:
The Asylum and Migration Management Regulation will allow the EU to adopt (by 15 October every
year):
1) An annual report assessing the migratory situation across the EU, and in all EU Member States.
2) An implementing decision determining whether a particular Member State is under migratory pressure.
3) A proposal for a Council Implementing Act with the number of relocations and financial solidarity contributions required for the upcoming year (this is referring to the quota of migrants each country will be required to take, or the financial penalty payable).
4) Based on this, the Council will adopt before the end of the year a Council Implementing Act establishing the Solidarity Pool, which will include the specific pledges that each Member State has made for each type of solidarity contribution (this is referring to option chosen by each Member State, as in, take in a quota of migrants, pay a financial penalty, make some other "solidarity contribution").
At the link below it states "There is no automatic obligation for Ireland to participate in a common asylum policy, as it has an opt-in or opt-out clause on individual proposals in the areas of freedom, security and justice, through the EU Treaty of Lisbon."
This Government have sold out the Irish people.

Carbon tax did not exist in 2008. It is now over €1 billion a year, nearly €3 million a day, taken on fuel and heating from what is left after income tax, USC and PRSI. Another “small” tax that quietly became permanent.
"I didn't tweet in the way that you say": Roderic O'Gorman previously shared a document in 8 languages saying Ireland would provide own-door accommodation for asylum seekers. @Ben_Scallan asks if this was a pull factor that contributed to the subsequent asylum seeker influx.
€18 MILLION of taxpayers’ money to bail out a State-funded disability provider.
No bailout for whistleblowers who expose wrongdoing.
The organisation is stabilised.
The services are protected.
Management moves on.
But the person who spoke up?
Left to fund their own legal fight.
Left to face retaliation.
Left to carry the stress alone.
If the State can step in to protect institutions,
why can’t it step in to protect those who protect the public interest?
Until whistleblowers are financially safeguarded,
“protected disclosure” is just a slogan.

"OUTRAGEOUSLY IRRESPONSIBLE": The Irish Government admit they did no analysis of "misinformation" policies' impact on free speech.
The Minister's reply when asked to justify this: "The decision of Government has been made...I know you don't like it, but the world's moved on."
Breaking! You won’t see this on RTE!!
Indian police seized over 100,000 fake degrees from 22 universities, shedding light on the alarming scope of the issue.
Indian media reported that the authorities arrested 11 individuals involved in producing counterfeit degrees, which were being used to secure jobs in fields like medicine, nursing, and engineering.
How many are working in Ireland with fake documents.

🚨The can of worms just keeps opening. Morgan McSweeney, Keir Starmer’s former chief of staff and key Labour strategist, is first cousins with Clare Mungovan, a special adviser to Irish Taoiseach Simon Harris. Their family comes from Macroom, Co. Cork, with a Fine Gael background (their aunt was a Fine Gael councillor, and Clare’s mother is Morgan’s aunt). Morgan’s father is Tim McSweeney, an accountant based in Macroom who, together with his wife Carmel, directs the company Tógáil Veilbhit Glas Teoranta, which has received €8.4 million in Irish government contracts since 2023 to provide accommodation for international protection applicants (asylum seekers).

BREAKING!
Parnell Street stabber Riad Bouchaker confirmed to have arrived in Ireland as an asylum seeker!
The media buried this information for over 2 years because they knew it would turn the entire country against open borders during a period when the country was already pushing back.
But it has finally been said in court.
An Algerian muslim came to Ireland, claimed asylum and years later tried to kill 3 young children and their teacher.
That's the headline the media buried for over 2 years.
IRELAND TO BECOME TESTING GROUND IN EUROPE FOR CHINESE-STYLE DIGITAL ID LINKED TO SOCIAL MEDIA
Independent Councillor Paddy Holohan with an important message. If there is one thing you resist in 2026, resist the government's plan to link Digital ID to social media. If they get this over the line, we will be transposed into a totalitarian surveillance society in Ireland whereby everything you do online can be monitored, tracked and traced back to your Public Services Card and PPS number. This is wide open to abuse by successive governments and could be used to implement a social credit system, where your access to social welfare benefits and right to work could be restricted if you step out of line. As Paddy rightly says, the government are attempting to instil in the psyche of the people that this is all about the protection of children. The thinking people of Ireland know that the government have demonstrated time and time again that they do NOT care about the welfare of children. They are only using this to try to curb resistance to their dystopian plans to take away our fundamental right to freedom of expression and privacy. RESIST. #NoDigitalID
