@adamtranter Come & cycle in Finland! There are over 300kms of separated bike lanes in my city (Oulu) alone and we cycle all year round (yes, even when it hits -20) because the city prioritises snow clearance of bike lanes over (mechanised) roads.

@MsVCooke @jon_severs Different school times can be a pain, until you understand that most children go to / from school on their own (from 7 onwards). Also, state provides subsidised after-school care (€100/m). And yes, Finns love an early lunch. The uni restaurants start serving it at 10 !

@jon_severs I should add that there is no concept of ‘wet play’ either. They’re out every break time, *although* they are allowed to stay in for 1 break / day if temp goes below -20 😄🥶
