But I guess that $150 million, after the year prior saw actual spending of $271 million, is ok because Liberals?

This isn't the flex they think it is.

Wynne budgeted $70 million for 2018-2019, and a bad season saw actuals balloon to $212 million.

The next year, the Ford government budgeted the same $70 million amount, highlighting exactly what he's being criticized for today.

Many people are blaming the wildfires in Ontario on Doug Ford supposedly cutting funding for forest firefighting.

The truth is that the budget is MORE THAN DOUBLE what it was when Kathleen Wynne was in office.

I understand that folks see things as pretty hopeless here on earth, lol, but let's just say regional rail expansion is a lot cheaper than moon missions.

Spare me on why we can't fund transit.

@Eden_4Recreate @RM_Transit It's basically just a quiet price fixing game at this point. There are some standalone sectors in better shape, but on the whole, it's oligopoly working with oligopoly.

@Eden_4Recreate @RM_Transit I'm not an economist, but I have come to the conclusion that this is all a result of a complete lack of competition across almost every sector.

From resources to supply chains to manufacturers, we bake in endless inflation because there no ability to offer competitive prices.

@Eden_4Recreate @RM_Transit Back to the cars, public investment in real and attractive local and regional transit would help a lot. And I mean a lot.

It won't help the auto sector, but it will help people and help fill that gap.

But we clearly just aren't going to do it here.

@tylerwatt I was joking a few days ago that Eric has already delivered, in a Leadership race, a more comprehensive platform alongside greater public discourse than the entire Liberal party could muster in the last election.

But it's not comedy, it's tragedy.

I think it's quite funny that anyone thinks Ford would kick Cho from caucus when Steve Clark is currently serving as House Leader.

Ontario gave him the mandate for this stuff, folks. Liberals are really bad, it had to be done.
