@craig4nwarks What about people who cannot afford access to the Internet and need it for helping their children with homework, job searching, benefits, banking, bills ets. Some of us take Internet access for granted as it's so accessable. It's very different if you don't have it.

Many former students have contacted me to offer support for our 2 days of strike action. Some who I taught nearly a decade ago. These students enjoyed longer hours contact-time with subject specialist lecturers (on feasible full-time contacts).
