We've got some exciting news! WARD has been lucky enough to receive a generous grant from Holden Australia.The Holden Home Ground Advantage provides grants to grassroots sporting clubs across Australia for projects including facility upgrades, uniforms or equipment.#rollerderby

Today, we'd like to celebrate and thank one very special WARDian, Mister Zed.
Zed joined us in 2011, alongside the wonderful Xana Don't. During his 8 years with WARD, Zed became a fixture not only in WARD, but in derby officiating all over Western Australia. #rollerderby

On Saturday, we enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather at our Christmas party. It was a time to reflect upon everything we achieved in 2018, and to thank and celebrate the people who made those achievements possible. #rollerderby

Additionally, thank you to everybody who has contributed to WARD in 2018, in any capacity. As a grassroots, not-for-profit league, we rely upon the work of volunteers for everything we do. We really couldn't do it without you! #rollerderby

All proceeds from the event (over $600 at this stage!) will be going to The Patricia Giles Centre, an organisation that provides accommodation and counselling for women and children who have been exposed to or impacted by domestic and family violence.

Yesterday, various WA leagues participated in Threrby- a novelty game of three-term roller derby! It was suitably confusing but, as always, a lot of fun. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped to organise, officiate, bench, volunteer and spectate this game. #rollerderby

Roller derby skaters, referees, NSOs and volunteers from all over WA came together to skate as one big derby family at yesterday's Perth Pride Sports Festival 🏳️‍🌈❤️
It was a close game, but Team Alyssa came out on top, beating Team Coco with a score of 122 to 104. #rollerderby
