Below is our official statement on last night’s appointment of Natalie Toro as the next 20th District State Senator. While we’re disappointed @GuzmanGraciela_ was not appointed, we look forward to meeting with her to discuss her campaign for the 2024 Primary. ¡La lucha sigue!
Last primary, we did what they said we couldn't do against a 25-year incumbent. We built a movement.
Now, we're back to finish what we started.
Let's run it back. 👏🏾
“Warren Williams, founder of 30th United and former 30th Ward aldermanic candidate, said his group did 40 canvassing shifts a week, in some cases talking to voters whose minds seemed to be made up about Johnson.”

Further, we extend our gratitude to CDSA-endorsed candidates @oscarfor10@AmbriaTaylor @NickWardFor48 and @WarrenFor30 for all they have done to build up the working class movement. Each fought a tough campaign, and their volunteers should be very proud of all they accomplished.
United Northwest Side is proud to have worked to help elect strong progressive candidates for alderperson this election: @EdBannonfor38, @WarrenFor30, and #SusannaFor45.
We’ve got so much respect for their hard work toward making our community stronger and more just. (1/ )
We’re especially proud of all that @WarrenFor30 and @30thWardUnited built—bringing in new leaders, running a truly people-powered campaign, and showing that the days of old-school politics in the 30th Ward are limited.
Warren's dad, also named Warren, took a day off from his job as a downtown postal worker to come out and help win this election for @Warrenfor30! #GOTV
8th District Cook County Commissioner @AnthonyJQuezada came out to the 30th this morning to support @WarrenFor30, @Brandon4Chicago, and our 17th district ECPS slate! There's still time to vote for a more progressive and accountable Chicago--polls close at 7.
