This is the same exact thing that Boise did last year-- entire neighborhoods turned into Section 8 housing to accomodate the thousands of H-1Bs being hired by corporations that receive massive tax breaks from the state.

SLC Councilman Alejandro Puy said the quiet part out loud in tonight’s SLC Council work session addressing re-zoning 77% of SLC (“Expanding Housing Options”).

He seems to be worried that the SLC homeowners are mostly older and White who won’t want renters or people of color in their neighborhood.
