As a teenager in the 80’s and 90’s, I saw first-hand the impact drugs and violence had on my neighborhood of Stronghold and DC. An opportunity changed my trajectory in life and inspired me to answer the call to public service to create a safer and more economically inclusive DC.

We did it! Today, our campaign turned in over 5,000 signatures to the BOE to qualify for the Nov. 8 General Election ballot. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped gather and validate signatures as well as all who signed our petitions and helped us reach our goal!
