🇮🇷 The UN Fact-Finding Mission on Iran (FFMI) confirmed ongoing crimes against humanity, including extrajudicial killings, torture and sexual violence, enabled by systemic impunity.
We urge states at #HRC58 to renew the UN Special Rapporteur’s mandate and establish a strong investigative mechanism to build on the FFMI’s work, preserve evidence and pursue justice.

Here in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, the entire refugee population depends on humanitarian aid.
Until the conflict and the systematic persecution they have fled ends, we must support them.
The international community has an obligation to invest - now - in aid for people who have suffered so much.
My Office’s report on last year’s protests in #Bangladesh exposes brutal repression and its root causes. Accountability, reforms & truth-telling are essential to prevent future violations. We stand with those working for a new vision rooted in human rights & social justice.

With the Cybercrime Convention on the table next week at the GA’s 3rd Committee, my Office is calling for human rights to be safeguarded. Tackling cybercrime must be embedded in human rights. States must address these risks & commit to clear, robust protections.
#Bangladesh: After any period of repression & violence, there needs to be a national process of truth & healing. Inequality, cycles of revenge & and gross human rights violations must be consigned to the past.
An inclusive approach, where every voice is heard irrespective of class, gender, race, political ideology, identity or religion, will be key to move forward.
@UNHumanRights office is here to do everything for Bangladesh to succeed in this regard - UN Human Rights Chief @volker_turk ends visit to the country.
