"Under the current BJP government, there are increasing reports of police arbitrarily picking up Maulanas from madrasas without any valid reason. Many are being falsely implicated in cases, jailed, or allegedly extorted.

One such disturbing incident has come to light from Odisha, where two Maulanas name Amir & Faisal were picked up, badly beaten, and are now in very poor condition.
