Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King believed progress is made when barriers are challenged and opportunity is expanded. During World War II, the WASP answered that call, stepping forward to serve when few believed they belonged in the cockpit.
🎉 Happy New Year from the WASP Museum! 🎉
As the calendar turns, we celebrate the courage, determination, and trailblazing spirit of the WASP.

Today in Aviation History 📷
On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made history with the first powered, controlled flight. That daring moment paved the way for generations of trailblazers like the WASP, who soared into roles once thought impossible for women.
We are honored to recognize a special Giving Tuesday donation made by SaraLyn Archibald, given in honor of WASP Betty Archibald Fernandes, Class 43-3.

Today in WASP History
The US Army Air Forces announced that the Women Airforce Service Pilots program would be disbanded.
Over 1,000 women were told they would be sent home without veteran status, honors, or benefits.
However, their story didn’t end there.
We honor their service
Our team had an incredible time at the Warbirds Over South Texas airshow! This weekend was all about education & inspiring the next generation of aviators.
When we bring history to life, we help spark curiosity, confidence, and passion in future generations.
This week, our team and our historic AT-6 Texan will be taking flight for Warbirds Over South Texas!
📍 Stop by our booth, meet our crew, and discover the incredible stories of the women who helped win the war in the skies!

We are proud to preserve the stories of these remarkable women. Their bravery reminds us that service takes many forms, and their legacy continues to inspire those who follow in their flight path. As we celebrate Veterans Day, we invite you to visit our newly added memorial wall.
