Outrage over Nexon's new gacha system overhaul in Blue Archive: All fingers point to former EA's executive, Patrick Soderlund

The 5.5th anniversary stream for Blue Archive was supposed to be a celebratory milestone, but the mood instantly changed when Nexon announced a drastic overhaul to the game's gacha system.

For years, Blue Archive enjoyed a relatively fair and player-friendly system built around it's 200-pull spark mechanic, which made it easier to grab 2 students from the banner, thanks to the recruiting points feature.

Under this new system, if you get lucky early at pull 190, you go back to zero, robbing you of the ability to secure a second banner unit.
And If you're hit with bad luck on a double banner, you are forced into a punishing loop that eats resources faster than ever.
Either way, the player is losing more than ever before.

It's clear as day that the new gacha system is engineered to maximize player spending, and milk wallets through predatory tactics, such as the constant fear of missing out.

Following the Patrick Söderlund EA mentality, corporate greed is now showing itself in full force.
Taking a system that worked wonderfully, building trust with your player base, and changing it overnight to chase the imposed industry standard trends, which favor predatory monetization over nurturing a loyal community and improving game quality.

As a humble gaming hub project that is building itself from scratch and always prioritizing players, we stand firm alongside everyone in the Blue Archive community.

Wow this might be the single worst thing Blue Archive has done in its 5 years so far, this is abysmal dogshit.

Essentially right now if you hit a banner character at 180 pulls, you can switch to the other active banner and finish out your 200 pulls to get the other one. With this system when you hit the banner character, it fucking resets you to zero, because they now have a 50/50 pity at 100. You are far less likely to snag both characters now in 200 pulls, now your best bet his hitting two 50/50s.

Hoyo continues to ruin every other gacha game with its fucking stupid banner system. This is a downgrade across the board and people NEED to be loud at how shit this is.

OPEN LETTER REGARDING THE CHANGES IN GACHA SYSTEM

Recently Nexon made a stream where they showcased all the upcoming stuff in the upcoming anniversary - there were a lot of cool and curious stuff.

However, I'm this cute, funny and tasteful barrel of honey, there was one very ruining spoonful of tar.
AND THAT IS NEW GACHA SYSTEM.

In current gacha system, there is a things where, after 200 pulls in gacha, if you couldn't get your desired student, then you can garantely pick ANY student that is currently at the banner at your liking by choice, for free, if we not count the spent pyroxenes, or money.

What is changing, is full deletion of this system, and replacing it with a hoyolike pity mechanic, where if you get the pink, then you also had to gamble on whatever you receive the student, or you had to do another 200 of pulls on getting it.

But that does not change one exact fact - this is unacceptable!

Yet how is this happen - this mammonist change literally intervenes with the whole point of Hifumi's speech on Eden incident, and of words of one of writers of BA, how are we able to get to know these pages of students life, how are we able to be with these students if we are not even able to get them?!?

But it turns out there is the reason why that happen - Nexon hired people that worship profit more than the soul of Kivotos, an acursed "people" from Electronic Arts:

Simply speaking - we as THE PEOPLE cannot let this happen! The very soul of Blue Archive is under attack by Mammonist devils who demand more money to their never ending wallets, either its greed of developers, or a coup, a demand from managers, or even there is something wrong in Nexon, and they picked Blue Archive as their tool for salvation, at expense of players.

Either way, this has to stop.

Our demands are simple:
-Cancel all that change in gacha system;
-Alternatively, take examples from Nikke or/and Stella Sora
-Fire these brutes from EA

OUR HOURLAND IS UNDER ATTACK, THE VERY SOUL IS GETTING POSESED BY DEMONS!!! AND OUR RIGHEST CAUSE IS TO SHOUT AND FIGHT TO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN.
