It is impossible to separate “politics” from a case where a religious minority with a knife carrying exception to a knife ban law stabbed someone and the government agents on the scene handcuffed the victim before he died in official state custody
@Samwinton99@mnpenny Don’t get me wrong I think knife bans are dumb and don’t work, but what is being asked of the police is know who is or isn’t Sikh and what is or isn’t a kirpan knife, and I think they are too busy visiting people over facebook posts to be properly educated
@Samwinton99@mnpenny They are going to have a problem, would the killer in the Henry Nowak case have been in trouble if the police found the non kirpan on him before hand? What I mean is do the police know the difference and scrutinize which knives Sikhs can or cannot carry or how many?
@Richy_GITC What you say is technically true, the issue being the British police would not know the difference or scrutinize which knives Sikh can or cannot carry
@KiddsL47940@politicsranter He was seen in a road rage incident video wielding a different bladed weapon which wasn’t his kirpan or the knife he killed Henry with
