Although the weather is warming up, we want to remind you not to leave your vehicle running and unattended.
“It seems harmless,” says Staff Sergeant Travis Kerr with the EPS Targeted Response to Auto-Theft Prevention (TRAP) team. “Unfortunately, that’s exactly when auto thefts happen. They’re crimes of opportunity that take seconds, and many of them are completely preventable.”
There were 4,233 vehicle thefts and 1,466 recovered stolen vehicles in 2025.
Protect yourself and your vehicles:
Never leave your vehicle running and unattended, even in your driveway.
Take your keys with you and always lock your vehicle.
Use a remote starter, if available
Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
Ensure windows and doors are closed and locked.

🔎 NEED TO IDENTIFY 🔍
We are looking for information from the public following a suspicious interaction involving a group of children in the community of Auburn Bay.
📍 At approx. 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, it is believed 3 children were playing in a greenspace behind a condominium complex in the 300 block of Auburn Meadows Manor S.E., when an unknown man approached them & asked if they had seen his dog. The children confirmed they had seen a black-&-white dog run by moments earlier & pointed in the direction it had gone. The man then walked away.
📍 Approx. 30 minutes later, the same man is believed to have returned in a vehicle & approached the children, who were now near a row of mailboxes on the east side of the complex. While remaining in his vehicle, he asked them for help locating his dog & offered them candy in exchange for their assistance. One of the children said they would help but declined the offer of candy. The man is alleged to have replied that they “deserve a reward,” & then promptly drove away. The children fled to the home of a trusted adult & informed their family members about the encounter.
After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the man & vehicle, police are turning to the public in hopes of advancing the investigation.
👤 The man is described as in his 30s & approximately 5’5” tall, with a light complexion, short brown hair & a heavy build. He was wearing a blue shirt & brown cargo shorts & was driving a blue-grey-coloured car.
🗣️ We encourage parents & guardians to speak with their children about personal safety & the importance of staying alert around strangers.
📣 Anyone with information about the man, vehicle, or incident is asked to contact police.

Every single person who supports, normalises, justifies and celebrates child transition should be forced to listen to this woman. Never, ever claim you couldn't have known what you were so enthusiastically enabling. The evidence was right there in front of you.
@JustinTrudeau@JustinTrudeau Lenders will actually accept a letter from landlords confirming that rent was paid on time since it’s not reported on credit reports. You have your head in the sand, most ppl simply cannot afford the high prices these days that you & your government have caused.
