@TDomej@drphiliplee1 I think it's that with a booster in the face of new variants we are always playing catch up - so a new variant surges, then we boost, thus lowering a peak but never eliminating the virus. Surge management still worthwhile, but not an ultimate resolution.

I’m not normally who tweets politically, or even enters major debates. However, the stuff that’s going on in #midwifery at the moment angers me. I’m so frustrated, majorly miffed & so so sad.
I’m also so tired, tired of the endless silence, tired of shouting into the void 1/
@manorspanner @WelshGasDoc I believe there has also been confirmation that the vaccine does not cross the placenta - therefore unlikely to have an affect on thr developing foetus. Antibodies generated by the vaccine do cross the placenta 1/2
@jelenaoreilly@DrNeenaJha@drphiliplee1 it might be worth speaking to the prescriber at a vaccine centre or the vaccination lead at your GP - they will be the best source of up to date information that will inform or reassure you
@jelenaoreilly@DrNeenaJha@drphiliplee1 and best evidence is to have complete course of one brand of vaccine - I knew I definitely wanted my second dose - just needed the clarity that I should carry on with AZ 2/2
@jelenaoreilly@DrNeenaJha@drphiliplee1 I was advised by the prescribing pharmacist to continue with the 2nd dose of AZ - had my 1st pre-conception and 2nd at 12 weeks
the reasoning was the risks associated with AZ still less than catching COVID in pregnancy 1/2

@elaine0076 @billysubway @allisonpearson@EmmaKennedy I did, top circle is a basket in a stacking system, also there are no breaks on this wheel, hospital beds have breaks on all 4 wheels and the width of it is only as much as the child himself - it's a shelving unit
