Congress/ BJP/ AIMIM expelling its local corporators for tying up at city council level is just another way to infantilise the local level leaders. We must not have such moral high grounds in politics . A coalition govt with a mix of right and left is a more stable, sane and thoroughly representative govt for the diverse set of voters. This is as good as proportional representation. We all are indians at the end of the day.

पावसाळा काही दिवसांवर येऊन ठेपला असताना मुंबईतील अनेक भागांमध्ये गटारांची साफसफाई आणि गाळ काढण्याची कामे अद्याप अपूर्ण आहेत. प्रशासनाच्या निष्काळजीपणामुळे दरवर्षी मुंबईकरांना पाणी तुंबणे, सांडपाण्याचा त्रास आणि पूरसदृश परिस्थितीचा सामना करावा लागतो.

यासंदर्भात बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिका आयुक्तांना पत्र पाठवून तातडीने कारवाई करण्याची मागणी केली आहे. गटारांची साफसफाई आणि गाळ काढण्याची सर्व कामे युद्धपातळीवर पूर्ण करावीत, जेणेकरून पावसाळ्यात नागरिकांना कोणत्याही संकटाचा सामना करावा लागू नये.

मुंबईकरांची सुरक्षितता, आरोग्य आणि सुविधा हेच आमचे प्राधान्य आहे. प्रशासनाने आता आश्वासनांपेक्षा कृती दाखवावी!

What are the proposals to use this area for? Is it railway land or central govt land or state govt land or defence land? Most slums in mumbai are standing on central govt, PSU, Defence land. Criminal cases must also be slapped on govt for keeping these lands underutilised that slums propped up there for decades. far-right, anti-hindu BJP / RSS is in power at center since 2014 but has no plans to develop these land parcels.

Why for free? Iran has to rebuild its cities and i will be wiling to provide my 16 plus years of professional experience to rebuild it but please stop thinking that Iran govt can save people of Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria or rest of the muslim world. Just look for your own people. Look at China as a role model. Stop identifying so insanely with Islam just to claim superiority. Religiousity has led to too much bloodshed and destruction. This is true of Mumbai too. BEST is being killed even when the need for BEST is now more than ever. Most metro stations have last mile connectivity issues. Trains are overcrowded. The less said the better about footpaths in Mumbai.

It means nothing if people cant walk safely and with dignity as roads are being widened by curtailing sidewalks to make way for road side parking. We are not developing but we are nearing doomsday. Buses should be dependable mode of transport but they are being ignored so that cars can move freely.
