Without that cash (and Uganda’s billions), the whole thing would have failed. Ordinary Kenyans stayed away. Foreigners stayed away.

So the government used retirement savings to manufacture demand and call it a success.

Your money is now locked in one single company.

One bad year, one political decision, and the value drops, hitting every worker who contributed.

This wasn’t about protecting pensions.
