I'm not going to let these losers act like every big indie band was mainstream either. The average person did not know about Animal Collective or Grizzly Bear or Fleet Foxes or any of that shit. I only knew 1 person in high school that listened to indie lol like let's keep it 100
@bagagwaa If we're going to talk revisionism let's start here first: "The big indie bands" were still bands that the average person never heard of. Yall can't act like Animal Collective was some big household name. The only people who knew about stuff like that...... were hipsters.
@todayyearsold The only thing you can really say against this video is that they're air frying up newspaper lol. That's foul. But the core idea of air fryers is legit.
hot take but watching a game you actually want to see at a bar is a terrible experience
i do not want to talk about every play or what the coach should be doing
@6BenHarrison This is probably accurate, I mean it never truly went away completely, but it was on a sharp decline/not as celebrated, along with other associated markers of the era, such as IPAs. I can't tell you the last time I've willingly grabbed an IPA haha
@samsquantchhh@muppetspice It is a very right wing sympathetic sort of show, I gave Season 1 a chance and found myself rooting for the supposed "villains" of the show (which is the Native population) lol. They paint them like they're in the wrong for wanting their sovereignty
@offbeatorbit This whole thread is proving your point. People describing their experiences at the tail end of the era like you said, when it had already become mainstream, when real ones was in the trenches building it brick by brick!!!
