I just wanted to let everyoone know, I have on-line officiating classes available thru MyOHSAA for the sports of football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball and wrestling.  These will be available thru the end of April 2022.

If you worked a WCAL game make sure that you were paid correctly. The fees changed for this season.

Officials ejected a varsity football coach at a 9th game. The coach (fan is how OHSAA looked at it)came on the field of play due to a wrong ruling on the field by a officiating crew. The crew never had time to fix the call. 1 crew member was removed from the future contracts 22.

Officials shouldn’t have their contracts threatened or feel anxious to officiate at a school.
This isn’t a one time incident. Things need to change because we’re not getting any new members and the current ones are not getting younger.#officialsstandtogether.

We recently had two of our members of our association return all of their contracts from a school for the upcoming 2022 season. Due to a coach threatening to remove them from upcoming contracts because he didn’t like the call or calls that were made.

FWIW, I am not a fan of further expansion of the football playoffs, having seen ugly playoff games in my native NC involving teams that won only 1 or 2 games. This is not basketball, where hot shooting can propel a big upset. 12 teams if we must, but please not 16.
