@memn4rch@Nero5113@TheRocketBeans food for thought:
@MikaylaL18 @durhamtyler1@jasonw @DanielBGreene If you are not willing to use a simple Google search to possibly think about the survival of actually already alive women, I do not see a reason to help you. Thanks! :)
@MikaylaL18 @durhamtyler1@jasonw @DanielBGreene First of all, they are not.
Second of all, I recommend educating yourself more on the topic because women already have been denied life saving abortions due to restrictive legislation. Law makers actually do not care. They have not/ won't provide for medically necessary abortions
@MikaylaL18 @durhamtyler1@jasonw @DanielBGreene Pregnancy can be life-threatening for the childbearer.
Nobody is legally required to/ should be forced to give their own life for someone (if you can count a clump of cells a someone) else.
Many pregnancies are unsafe.
If abortion is made illegal, already living people WILL die
There’s a lot to be unpacked just in that story, but I’ll simply point out (in case you didn’t know) that as a society, we really don’t mind if women suffer, physically or mentally, as long as it makes things easier for men.
I know #querying is bad rn. BUT, I've also looked at several query letters recently... And please, please, please -- don't shoot yourself in the foot before an agent even gets to your pages. Follow the standard query format. Make it engaging.
A 🧵 for the #WritingCommunity ...
@ToniMaggio I think the entire bridgerton source material is problematic. Hoping the show will stray a little farther in future seasons because it could be so much more 😔
@mixbecca I think that situation was immature and silly, too. But dunking on people pointing out violence is an excessive tool for settling disputes is not it, fam
@LiteratureNLoFi @Rachel_Aaron Agreed it's really good. If you are looking for something that scratches the same itch, I recommend Generation V by ML Brennan. It's about an vegetarian (like actually vegetarian) vampire :)
Big announcement today! See the video for details before reading replies, so you get it straight from the source. Livestream at 1:30 on my YouTube to discuss. I rarely ask this, but please share this tweet to increase visibility.
