Wonderful! Folks from all over the world for the #WorldCupFIFA#Ecuador_Curaçao show down in Kansas City. Happy people up close to the signs! Even the King and Queen of the #netherlands got an eye full. Good times!
It’s crazy what resources people will put into sports events like the #fifa#worldcup games here in Kansas City. Meanwhile God brought this international audience right to the front door of #WBC’s Holy Bible signs. #Curaçao#ecuador
Your Name, O Lord, endures forever. Praise Him, His servants who stand in His house. The Lord is great, commanding heaven, earth, and deep seas. He is our heritage; His memorial outlasts every generation.
PSALM 135
🇨🇼 Curaçao 🇨🇼 is the smallest country to ever field a World Cup team; the population of that Caribbean island nation (40 miles off the coast of Venezuela 🇻🇪) is essentially the same as Shawnee County 😃
Curaçao 🇨🇼 was a major port for African slave trade centuries ago and if you see their soccer ⚽️ players you will suspect most of them are descendants of some of those poor slaves. 😟
God hates your idols!
"Setting aside the use of a dead preacher for your straw man, your position requires answer to some serious questions. (1) The Bible plainly says God hates “workers” of iniquity, not “works” of iniquity (e.g., Job 31:3, 34:8; Psalms 5:5, 36:12; Luke 13:27). (2) God plainly calls those who proudly disobey His commandments “an abomination”, not their actions. “Abomination” means “deserving of extreme hatred or loathing”. (3) Jesus Christ Himself was abhorred by the father (in his flesh) and was cast off, tormented, and slain … because He carried in His body the sins of His people. Christ was “cast off and abhorred” by God … not the sins He carried (Psalms 89:38). Synonyms of “abhor” are “despise, detest, hate, loathe”. You have word definition problems, my friend. (4) And who goes to Hell (the proper noun)? Do you deny the existence of Hell? Do the sins go to Hell, or the sinner? Does the criminal go to prison, or the crime? What metaphysical nonsense allows you to pretend that the eternal God — who you declare holds perfect love for all men — would express that love by destroying (as Christ said) “both soul and body in hell” for eternity? No hope of repair or redemption for endless time! You should not poo-poo this grave question. Satan declared the same argument when he was deceiving Eve in the Garden of Eden. God declared that if she committed the sin, the body would be cast down and die … “in the day that THOU eatest thereof THOU (not the eating of the fruit, but THOU) shalt surely die.” (Genesis 2:17). It was the serpent who said “YE shall not surely die.” (Genesis 3:4). Satan told Eve that the sin might be bad, but it won’t result in her death — of body or soul … or her entire lineage. “Don’t worry, Eve” … he said … “God doesn’t hate the sinner, just the sin … so YE shall not surely die.” Oops."
Proud, foolish, rebellious flesh thinks they have power over salvation! NO NO NO! Read the words!! No flesh will glory in the presence of God!!
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:6-14
