Jonathan Idarraga won the Nancy Hoefs Memorial award for Outstanding First Year Teacher! He stands out as both eager and self-reflective. He learns from others, is reflexrful of instructional practices and responsive to feedback. Congratulations, Jonathan!

Congratulations to Dan Hansen, winner of the Award for Diversity and Inclusion! Dan is sensitive to students’ personal concerns and advocates for changes to “problematic” school traditions. He is commited to providing a safe place for all students.

The @MCPL_Wausau Board of Trustees received a standing ovation as they were awarded the Lee Burress Intellectual Freedom Award. They voted to retain a book a challenged by a patron, stating that people should have a right to read, free from viewpoint-based or partisan censorship.
